Pancakes with Maple Walnut Fudge Syrup
Ingredients:
Your preferred boxed pancake mix
1 cup of our delicious creamy Original Fudge Kitchen Maple Walnut Fudge, cut into small pieces
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
Fresh fruit and powdered sugar to top pancakes (optional)
Directions:
- Prepare pancake batter and cook the pancakes as directed on the box.
- Put the maple walnut fudge and maple syrup in a heatproof glass bowl and place the bowl over a pot of barely simmering water.
- Stir the fudge and maple syrup with a wooden spoon until they are melted and have a smooth consistency (the slower they are melted, the better the consistency will be).
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool briefly. Add a small splash of milk or cream to get a more fluid consistency, if necessary.
- Serve up the pancakes and drizzle the maple walnut fudge all over the pancakes.
- Top with fresh fruit and powdered sugar, if desired.
- Enjoy!
